- Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling. - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
- It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God.
- He is the Rock, his works are perfect,
and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he. - For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.Next verse!With image
