| For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation. | For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. |

| Yahweh makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up. | The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. |
| Woe to him who strives with his Maker— a clay pot among the clay pots of the earth! Shall the clay ask him who fashions it, ‘What are you making?’ or your work, ‘He has no hands’? | Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands? |
| If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. | If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. |

| Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. | Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away. | Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. |
| What is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him? | What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? |

| Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. | Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. |
| Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him. | Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. |
| Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger. | Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger. |
