Law (2/5)

And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
If you love me, keep my commands. If you love Me, keep My commandments.
What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
Observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.
The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin. The wise in heart will receive commands, But a prating fool will fall.
Do not judge, or you too will be judged.Judge not, that you be not judged.
Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.
Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord!
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.
‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses. Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you.
Whoever keeps commandments keeps their life, but whoever shows contempt for their ways will die.He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But he who is careless of his ways will die.
He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.

So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
