I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you… Romans 12:1

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1	And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. Deuteronomy 8:6	So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. law awe following
Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:10-11	So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. Leviticus 26:3-4	If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you the seasonal rains. You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, His testimonies, and His statutes which He has commanded you. Deuteronomy 6:17	You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you. law
Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. Hebrews 4:11	So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall. sabbath rest
Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Proverbs 4:5	Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don’t forget my words or turn away from them. wisdom understanding Word of God

But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
