- Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live;
and so Yahweh, the God of Armies, will be with you,
as you say. - There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling.
- Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil,
to cut off their memory from the earth. - Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
- For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
- You who love Yahweh, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of his saints.
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
- Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the man.”
- Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
- Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.
It will be health to your body,
and nourishment to your bones. - God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. God relented of the disaster which he said he would do to them, and he didn’t do it.
- And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- He who walks blamelessly and does what is right,
and speaks truth in his heart;
he who doesn’t slander with his tongue,
nor does evil to his friend,
nor casts slurs against his fellow man. - Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.
- Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
- Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
- Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. - For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears open to their prayer;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?
- As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today.
- Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. - For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit.
