Bible Verses about '1 peter 5;7'

  • Having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.
  • Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time.
  • Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
  • After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
  • And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
  • Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
  • But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
  • Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
  • For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
  • And like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.
  • But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
  • Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-servants of God.
  • For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps.
  • And He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.
  • Your adornment must not be merely the external—braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or putting on apparel; but it should be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
  • You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.
  • To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, loving, compassionate, and humble.
  • Not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you would inherit a blessing.
  • For,
“The one who desires life, to love and see good days,
Must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
    He must turn away from evil and do good;
He must seek peace and pursue it.”
  • For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears attend to their prayer,
But the face of the Lord is against evildoers.
  • And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?
  • But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread.
  • But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect.
  • Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
