Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established. | Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. |
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight. | The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy. |
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. | Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. |
