When I fed them, they were satisfied; they were satisfied, and their heart was proud; therefore they forgot me. | According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted. Therefore they have forgotten me. |
But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. | But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. |
If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true. | If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth. |
Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. | These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. |
For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, busy with this very thing. | For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God’s service, continually doing this very thing. |
Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me will live because of me. | As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will also live because of me. |
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!” | I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!” |
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts. | This is Yahweh’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies. |

Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. | Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free. |
So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's trouble is enough for today. | Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient. |
And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. | You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. |

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long. | Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever. |

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin. | For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin. |
