- Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment.

What can mortals do to me? - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power.

and a fool's mouth invites a flogging. - Seek the Lord while he may be found,
call upon him while he is near. - Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.
- Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
- Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
- O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - For the righteous will never be moved;
they will be remembered forever. - But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one. - Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow.
- I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. - My child, keep your father's commandment,
and do not forsake your mother's teaching. - So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
- Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
- Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
- What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
- Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
and the glory of children is their parents. - Those who withhold kindness from a friend
forsake the fear of the Almighty. - But if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
- For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- This poor soul cried, and was heard by the Lord,
and was saved from every trouble. - To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and all their host by the breath of his mouth. - Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again.
- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time.
- So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Therefore keep the commandments of the Lord your God, by walking in his ways and by fearing him.
- Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
