- But godliness with contentment is great gain.
- Give us this day our daily bread.
- Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
- Who will render to every man according to his deeds.
- And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors. - Can one go upon hot coals,
and his feet not be burned? - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
- Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord. - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
- Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
- A fool's lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calleth for strokes. - Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,
call ye upon him while he is near. - He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
- What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
- O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker. - Surely he shall not be moved for ever:
the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. - But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
- For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
- For the Lord giveth wisdom:
out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. - He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. - I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. - Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
- That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
- My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
- Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. - What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. - Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
- For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Children's children are the crown of old men;
and the glory of children are their fathers. - Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him,
and saved him out of all his troubles. - Blessings are upon the head of the just:
but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. - By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. - To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. - Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
- So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
- Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
- And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
- And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
