- But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment.
- Give us this day our daily bread.
- Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
- Or can a person walk on hot coals
And his feet not be scorched? - The Lord is for me; I will not fear;
What can man do to me? - Everything that has breath shall praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord! - A fool’s lips bring strife,
And his mouth invites beatings. - Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
- Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near. - Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.
- The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him.
- What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
- Come, let’s worship and bow down,
Let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker. - For he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be remembered forever. - And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
- But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- I spread out my hands to You;
My soul longs for You, like a weary land. Selah - For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
My refuge; I will not be shaken. - For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
- So then, let’s not sleep as others do, but let’s be alert and sober.
- That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.
- Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap.
- Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
- My son, comply with the commandment of your father,
And do not ignore the teaching of your mother. - Grandchildren are the crown of the old,
And the glory of sons is their fathers. - What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!
- Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”
- For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under the Law but under grace.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - But if you do not forgive other people, then your Father will not forgive your offenses.
- And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
- For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - This wretched man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And by the breath of His mouth all their lights. - Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
- So that we confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
What will man do to me?” - For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend;
So that he does not abandon the fear of the Almighty. - Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time.
- Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
- And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.
