| But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. | But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die. |
| When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long. | When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. |
| Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. | Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. |
| And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. | If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. |

| For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. | For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen. |
| Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. | Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. |
| And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. | And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. |
| For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth. | For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does. |
| Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase. | Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. |
| For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. | O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. |
| For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. | For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God. |
| He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare. | Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give! |
| This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. | In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles. |
| In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty. | Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty! |
| All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. | God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. |
| And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” | Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. |
| And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. | In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. |
| Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all. | The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. |
| As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. | God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. |
| Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. | If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. |
| As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. | God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. |
| Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. | Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! |
| But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. | But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. |
| Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. | Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. |
