  • May mercy, peace, and love be granted you in abundance.
  • He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
  • God said, “Let there be light!” And there was light.
  • The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,
    the world and all who live in it.
  • And if then my people who bear my name humble themselves and pray to me and seek my presence as they turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land.
  • Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
  • Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
  • Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said:
    “Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb,
    and naked I will return.
    The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
    blessed be the name of the Lord.”
  • And this is the testimony:
    God gave us eternal life,
    and this life is in his Son.
  • You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
  • For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
  • Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar,
    praise and exalt and glorify
    the King of heaven.
    For all of his works are right,
    and all of his ways are just.
    Also, he is able to humble
    all those who follow the path of pride.
  • In view of all this, you should make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with piety, and piety with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
  • Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.
  • Speak out and pronounce righteous judgments;
    defend the rights of the wretched and the poor.
  • And I say to you: You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld will not prevail against it.
  • They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers.
  • The fear of the Lord implies hatred of evil;
    I hate pride and arrogance,
    evil ways and perverse speech.
  • However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
  • While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after he had pronounced the blessing, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take this and eat; this is my body.”
  • And I will ask the Father,
    and he will give you another Advocate
    to be with you forever.
  • Do the things that you have learned, received, and heard from me and that you saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
  • And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told.
  • Jesus answered him,
    “Whoever loves me will keep my word,
    and my Father will love him,
    and we will come to him
    and make our abode with him.”
  • And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

You shall serve the Lord, your God. He will bless your bread and water and take away sickness from your midst.
