| For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. | For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. |
| He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. | A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. | A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. |

| And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it.
