  • Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
  • But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
  • For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
  • Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!
  • Not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
  • Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
  • For the customs of the peoples are vanity;
    for one cuts a tree out of the forest,
    the work of the hands of the workman with the ax.
    They deck it with silver and with gold.
    They fasten it with nails and with hammers,
    so that it can’t move.
    They are like a palm tree, of turned work,
    and don’t speak.
    They must be carried,
    because they can’t move.
    Don’t be afraid of them;
    for they can’t do evil,
    neither is it in them to do good.
  • If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.
  • Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.
  • These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat whatever has fins and scales. You shall not eat whatever doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean to you.
  • It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife,
    but every fool will be quarreling.
  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.
  • As knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine, according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
  • Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
  • Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
  • “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
  • Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great:
    God was revealed in the flesh,
    justified in the spirit,
    seen by angels,
    preached among the nations,
    believed on in the world,
    and received up in glory.
  • For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
  • But I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
  • Yet I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt;
    and you shall acknowledge no god but me,
    and besides me there is no savior.
  • If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
  • I ate no pleasant food. No meat or wine came into my mouth. I didn’t anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.
  • Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
  • Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
