- Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a reproach to any people. - When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed.

and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- It is honorable to refrain from strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.
- No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- Without any doubt, the mystery of our religion is great:
He was revealed in flesh,
vindicated in spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among Gentiles,
believed in throughout the world,
taken up in glory. - For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Those who withhold kindness from a friend
forsake the fear of the Almighty. - There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
