- The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,

- “Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.” - Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
- The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills. - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
- Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
- And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy,
And afterward to reconsider his vows.
