- For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears open to their prayer;
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul.
“Therefore I will hope in him.” - Oh come, let’s worship and bow down.
Let’s kneel before Yahweh, our Maker. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
but Yahweh weighs the hearts. - You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh.
- May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you.
- But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing,
and obtains favor of Yahweh. - I will bless Yahweh at all times.
His praise will always be in my mouth. - Yahweh is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. - Out of my distress, I called on Yah.
Yah answered me with freedom. - Yahweh will give strength to his people.
Yahweh will bless his people with peace. - But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
- The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom.
Before honor is humility. - Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - Trust in Yahweh, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. - Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment.
- For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people.
He crowns the humble with salvation. - Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them.
- Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
- Yahweh is near to all those who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth. - Yahweh God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever—” Therefore Yahweh God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
- Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous.
His ears listen to their cry. - Honor Yahweh with your substance,
with the first fruits of all your increase. - Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength.
He makes my feet like deer’s feet,
and enables me to go in high places.
