Believe and receive (3/4)

  • I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
  • And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
  • I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
  • And said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.”
  • Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
  • For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
  • Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
  • But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
  • But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
  • For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
  • Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
  • He who covers his sins will not prosper,
But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
  • For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
  • I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
    From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
    Who made heaven and earth.
  • So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
  • For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
  • But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
  • For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
  • Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
  • Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
  • Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
  • “If you will not hear,
And if you will not take it to heart,
To give glory to My name,”
    Says the Lord of hosts,
“I will send a curse upon you,
And I will curse your blessings.
Yes, I have cursed them already,
Because you do not take it to heart.”

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
