| But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. | But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ. |

To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. |
| I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. | Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. |
| We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. | We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. |
