- The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him. - And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- In God (I will praise His word),
In God I have put my trust;
I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me? - If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
- For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful. - In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness. - And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
- I have taught you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in right paths. - And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ ” - Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.
- No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
- In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven. - But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.
- Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
- If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
- And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory. - For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
- God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
- But our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases. - If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
