God is not human, that he should lie, or the son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act, does he promise and then not fulfill it? | God is not a human being, that he should lie, or a mortal, that he should change his mind. Has he promised, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? |
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and merciful in everything he does. | The Lord is just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings. |
What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very life? | For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life? |
I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower.
