A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. | A joyful heart is good medicine, But a broken spirit dries up the bones. |

But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. | But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. |
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; he who doesn’t slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man. | One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend. |

Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. | One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper, But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion. |

And hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. | And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. |
