Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.Wealth and honor are from you, you reign over all. They decorate the idol with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not totter. They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot walk! Do not fear them, For they can do no harm, Nor can they do any good.For the carved images of the nations are powerless; they are nothing more than wood cut from a forest, fashioned with a knife by craftsmen and embellished with silver and gold. Then they are fastened with hammers and nails to prevent them from toppling. Like scarecrows in a cucumber field they are unable to speak, and they must be carried from place to place since they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they can do no harm, nor do they have any power to do good.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”And the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I wish to make another creature who will be like him.”

Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Rejoice in the presence of this God whose name is the Lord. The Father of orphans and the defender of widows: such is God in his holy dwelling place.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
Let the peace of Christ, to which you were indeed called in one body, rule in your hearts; and be thankful.And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful.
Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?Why do you take note of the splinter in your brother’s eye but do not notice the wooden plank in your own eye?
Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy.Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but those who counsel peace have joy.

How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from acts that lead to death so that we may worship the living God.
Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.If it seems wrong to you to serve the Lord, then today you must choose whom you will serve, whether it be the gods that your fathers served on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites who dwell in the land. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?In God, whose word I praise, in God I place my trust and know no fear; what can people do to me?
Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us, Just as we have waited for You.O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us, for we have placed our hope in you.

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’For I, the Lord, am your God and I grasp your right hand. It is I who say to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
