Faith is the substance (4/4)

  • And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
  • For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
  • He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
  • Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
  • Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
  • Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
  • Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
  • Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
  • No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed,
    and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
    This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
    and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.
  • Have you not known? Have you not heard?
    The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
    He does not faint or grow weary;
    his understanding is unsearchable.
  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
  • Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
  • Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.
  • By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.
  • So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
  • And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
  • Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
  • And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.”
  • But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
  • But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
  • And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
  • It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.
  • I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
