- Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness;

Do not forsake the work of your hands. - For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.

his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. - Let marriage be held in honor by all, and let the marriage bed be kept undefiled; for God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

- Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you;

but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments. - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
