- For Yahweh says to the house of Israel:
“Seek me, and you will live.” - Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me.
Your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. - The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to heal the broken hearted,
to proclaim release to the captives,
recovering of sight to the blind,
to deliver those who are crushed. - If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
- Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
- For whoever finds me finds life,
and will obtain favor from Yahweh. - The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me,
because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble.
He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and release to those who are bound. - He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.
- When I said, “My foot is slipping!”
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up. - He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”
- Make your face to shine on your servant.
Save me in your loving kindness. - Teach me your way, Yahweh.
I will walk in your truth.
Make my heart undivided to fear your name. - Jesus therefore answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
- Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?
- With my whole heart I have sought you.
Don’t let me wander from your commandments. - But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - I will never forget your precepts,
for with them, you have revived me. - One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.
- Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
- Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
- In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep,
for you alone, Yahweh, make me live in safety. - I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
- I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
- I have set Yahweh always before me.
Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
