Give us today the food we need. | Give us this day our daily bread. |
I thirst for God, the living God. When can I go and stand before him? | My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? |
|
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. | And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation. |
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. | Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. |
For the word of God will never fail. | For with God nothing shall be impossible. |
Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. | Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) |
Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. | Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. |
By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. | According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. |
Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. | Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. |
I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. | I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. |
We love each other because he loved us first. | We love him, because he first loved us. |
Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker. | O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. |
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? | For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God? |
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. | For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. |
As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. | Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. |
But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. | He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. |
For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? | For who is God, save the Lord? and who is a rock, save our God? |
And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day. | And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. |
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. | But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. | All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. |
And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. | And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. |
And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for. | And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. |
As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. | As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. |
And forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. | And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. |
God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. | Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. |
