Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.
Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.Wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.

I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.And when you fast, don’t make it obvious, as the hypocrites do, for they try to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth, that is the only reward they will ever get.
Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.’Go back to Hezekiah, the leader of my people. On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?” When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.One Sabbath day as Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, he saw a woman who had been crippled by an evil spirit. She had been bent double for eighteen years and was unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Dear woman, you are healed of your sickness!” Then he touched her, and instantly she could stand straight. How she praised God! But the leader in charge of the synagogue was indignant that Jesus had healed her on the Sabbath day. “There are six days of the week for working,” he said to the crowd. “Come on those days to be healed, not on the Sabbath.” But the Lord replied, “You hypocrites! Each of you works on the Sabbath day! Don’t you untie your ox or your donkey from its stall on the Sabbath and lead it out for water? This dear woman, a daughter of Abraham, has been held in bondage by Satan for eighteen years. Isn’t it right that she be released, even on the Sabbath?” This shamed his enemies, but all the people rejoiced at the wonderful things he did.
