I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.The desires of the flesh result in death, but the desires of the Spirit result in life and peace.
Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his lot.This is the conclusion I have reached: it is fitting for a man to eat and drink and find satisfaction in the results of his labors under the sun during the brief span of life that God has allotted him.
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”
And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.And eternal life is this: to know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent, Jesus Christ.
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
To those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.To those who seek after glory and honor and immortality by persevering in good works, he will grant eternal life.
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.Never will I forget your commands, for through them you have given me life.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more certain it is that, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.As long as the goodwill is present, the gift will be acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.There is only one thing I ask of the Lord, just one thing I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, so that I may enjoy the beauty of the Lord and gaze on his temple.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.He who guards his mouth makes his life secure, but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall.

But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.As for me, I do not regard my life as of any value, only that I finish the race and complete the mission that I received from the Lord Jesus—to bear witness to the gospel of God’s grace.
