| And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation. | And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. |

We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. |

These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. |
| Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. | For God saved us and called us to live a holy life.
