- And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.

for by them you give me life. - But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
- And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God.
- But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!
- Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
- For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.
- You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.
- And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.
- I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.
- And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.
- By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
- You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
- Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
- And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
- But when you are arrested and stand trial, don’t worry in advance about what to say. Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
- Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
- For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
- Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life.
- Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
- For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.
- Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
- For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

You are honored, and I love you. - For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.
- See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
- But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.
- And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
- Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.
- Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.
- I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
- But don’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that the Son of Man can give you. For God the Father has given me the seal of his approval.
