- Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
- You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.
- And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.”
- But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, and in this way announce God’s light to Jews and Gentiles alike.
- Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.
God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.Next verse! With image
