Bible Verses about 'Given'

  • This is how we can be certain
    that we abide in him
and that he abides in us:
he has given us a share in his Spirit.
  • And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
  • Then he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
  • Father, allow those you have given me
to be with me where I am,
so that they may behold my glory,
which you have bestowed on me
    because you loved me
before the foundation of the world.
  • There is no salvation in anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to men by which we can be saved.
  • Therefore, I say to you: ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
  • Never will I forget your commands,
for through them you have given me life.
  • If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
  • Such hope will not be doomed to disappointment, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
  • For a child has been born to us,
a son has been given to us.
    Upon his shoulders dominion rests,
and this is the name he has been given:
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
  • But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.
  • Rather, seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
  • But who am I, and what are your people,
that we should be able to do this?
    All things belong to you,
and everything that we have given you is from your hand.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. The measure that you use for others will be used to measure you.
  • To you, O God of my fathers,
    I offer thanks and praise
because you have given me wisdom and power.
Now you have made known to me
    what we asked of you;
you have revealed to us the king’s dream.
  • You have given me the shield of your salvation;
    your right hand sustains me,
and your goodness makes me great.
You broadened the path beneath me
so that my feet have never stumbled.
  • All those who keep his commandments abide in him,
    and he abides in them.
And the proof that he abides in us
is the Spirit that he has given us.
  • We also know
that the Son of God has come
    and given us understanding
so that we can know the one who is true.
And we are in the one who is true,
since we are in his Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life.
  • Whatever moves and has life will be used for your food. I give you all these things, just as I have already given you every green plant. Only do not eat flesh along with its life, that is, with its blood.
  • When they arrest you and bring you to trial, do not be concerned beforehand about what you are to say. Simply say whatever is given to you when that time comes, for it will not be you who speak but the Holy Spirit.
  • But the one who did not know those wishes, and who acted in such a manner as to deserve a beating, will be beaten less severely. Much will be demanded of a person to whom much has been given, and even more will be asked of a person to whom more has been entrusted.
  • You shall take heed to observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, and the decrees and statutes that he has given to you.
  • And this is the testimony:
    God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
  • I give them eternal life,
    and they will never perish.
No one will ever snatch them from my hand.
My Father who has given them to me
    is greater than all,
and no one can snatch them
    out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.

Moreover, the one to whom God grants wealth and possessions and the ability to enjoy them and to find contentment in his toil receives a gift from God.
