- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
and serve justice to the poor and needy. - Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, as also being joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
- You shall keep his statutes and his commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which Yahweh your God gives you for all time.
- But he who endures to the end will be saved.
- Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.
Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. - You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you.
- The rich rule over the poor.
The borrower is servant to the lender. - For Yahweh says to the house of Israel:
“Seek me, and you will live.” - Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless.
Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. - Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left.
Remove your foot from evil. - Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous.
His ears listen to their cry. - Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. - But when you do merciful deeds, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand does, so that your merciful deeds may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
- He gives power to the weak.
He increases the strength of him who has no might. - He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation.”
- For your great loving kindness reaches to the heavens,
and your truth to the skies. - The entrance of your words gives light.
It gives understanding to the simple. - The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back,
but the righteous give generously. - For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
- I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
- I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.
Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.In praying, don’t use vain repetitions as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking. Let your beauty come not from the outward adorning of braiding your hair, and of wearing gold ornaments or of putting on fine clothing, but from the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in God’s sight.Next verse! With image
