| For the word of God will never fail. | For with God nothing shall be impossible. |
| Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. | If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. |

| When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before! | And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. |
| This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. | Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. |
| What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? | What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? |

| For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. | For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. |
| And the Lord our God commanded us to obey all these decrees and to fear him so he can continue to bless us and preserve our lives, as he has done to this day. | And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. |
| God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. | Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. |
| A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ | And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |

| This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” | For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. |
| But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. | Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. |
| I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? | In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. |
| For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. | For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. |
