- Guard your heart with all possible vigilance,
for from it flow the wellsprings of life. - After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”
- However, the Lord is faithful. He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
- For he guards the paths of justice
and keeps watch over the way of his faithful ones. - He who guards his mouth makes his life secure,
but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall. - If the Lord does not build the house,
those who construct it labor in vain.
If the Lord does not guard the city,
those who keep watch over it do so in vain. - Do not worry about anything, but present your needs to God in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then the peace of God, which is beyond all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- Be on your guard that you do not lose what we have worked to accomplish so that you will receive your reward in full.
- Be on guard against false prophets who come to you disguised in sheep’s clothing, but who inwardly are ravenous wolves.
- Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
- So we must not fall asleep as the others do, but we must stay alert and sober.
- He will not permit your foot to stumble;
he who guards you will not fall asleep. - The upright are guarded by their integrity;
the treacherous are destroyed by their own duplicity. - How can a young man lead a spotless life?
By living according to your word. - Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he protects the souls of his faithful ones
and rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people.” And if one should fall,
his companion will help him up.
How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls
and has no one to assist him to his feet.Next verse!With image
