| And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing. | When anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned. |

| Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. | Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. |
| He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. | You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. |
| Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. | Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. |
| Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. | Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. |
