If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. | If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth. |
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” | Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” |
Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. | I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown. |
I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches. | I rejoice in following your statutes more than I would rejoice in endless riches. |
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. | So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. |
And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. | This is the commandment we have received from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother. |
