| And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. | And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances. |
| For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. | For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. |

| Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? | Is this not the fast that I choose: To release the bonds of wickedness, To undo the ropes of the yoke, And to let the oppressed go free, And break every yoke? |
| Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. | Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him, “Take away all guilt And receive us graciously, So that we may present the fruit of our lips.” |
| Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. | You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, so that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you. |

| And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. | And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” |
| But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. | But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you shall walk entirely in the way which I command you, so that it may go well for you.’ |
| Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. | Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. |
| Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. | Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. |
| If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. | If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. |
| I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. | I know how to get along with little, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. |
| Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. | Therefore Jesus said, “For a little while longer I am going to be with you, and then I am going to Him who sent Me.” |
| Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. | Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. |
| I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. | As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. |
| Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. | Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you. |
| Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. | Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I have given everything to you, as I gave the green plant. But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. |
| A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. | A fool does not delight in understanding, But in revealing his own mind. |
| But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. | But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you. |
| Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. | God raised up His Servant for you first, and sent Him to bless you by turning every one of you from your wicked ways. |
| Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. | Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. |
| For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. | For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. |
| And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. | So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine. |
