I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. | I will give thanks to you among the peoples, O Lord; I will sing your praises among the nations. |

But you must never eat any meat that still has the lifeblood in it. | Whatever moves and has life will be used for your food. What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. | Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man. |
