While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows.It is a snare to say rashly, “It is holy,” and to reflect only after making vows.
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.
It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel.It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.
Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.

Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
