It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows. Proverbs 20:25	Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God and only later counting the cost. holiness righteousness
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5:13	You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11	No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. righteousness peace children

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7	But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! reward Jesus Word of God
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130	The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand. Word of God understanding light
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6	Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. righteousness family children
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21	The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. speaking blessing self-control
Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:15-16	No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
