- As newborn babies, long for the pure spiritual milk, that with it you may grow.
- So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul.
If you have found it, then there will be a reward:
Your hope will not be cut off. - Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
- For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ - Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf.
- Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no kind of work. It is a Sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings.

the righteous run to him, and are safe. - For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?
- A fool vents all of his anger,
but a wise man brings himself under control. - There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - Know therefore today, and take it to heart, that Yahweh himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath. There is no one else.
- For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

I try the heart,
even to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his doings.” - I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.
