- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
- So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. - He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
- No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
- And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
- Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it. - And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
- Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
- If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
- But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
- It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
- And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. - This is the day which the Lord hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us.
