| Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? | Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? |
| There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. | Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. |
| But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. | But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. |
| And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. | And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. |
| But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. | But now in Christ Jesus you who previously were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. |
| God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. | God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. |
| For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. | For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. | That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. |
| Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. | And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. | Looking at them, Jesus said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.” |
| As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. | Just as you do not know the path of the wind, and how bones are formed in the womb of the pregnant woman, so you do not know the activity of God who makes everything. |
| Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. | It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. | And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died. |
