Bible Verses about 'Job'
- Yahweh restored Job’s prosperity when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- I made a covenant with my eyes;
how then should I look lustfully at a young woman? - But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives.
In the end, he will stand upon the earth. - Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects.
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. - To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend;
even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - We can’t reach the Almighty.
He is exalted in power.
In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress. - I haven’t gone back from the commandment of his lips.
I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - Then Job arose, and tore his robe, and shaved his head, and fell down on the ground, and worshiped. He said, “Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.”
- Yahweh said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh.
- But he knows the way that I take.
When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps.
I have kept his way, and not turned away. - Because I delivered the poor who cried,
and the fatherless also, who had no one to help him,
the blessing of him who was ready to perish came on me,
and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
