When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. | When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. |
Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed— for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead. | Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. |

“Don’t cling to me,” Jesus said, “for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” | Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. |
Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” | Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. |
Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.” | Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. |
