John 3;16 (3/4)

Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.
You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!
In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.
I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!
This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.
When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.
When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment. And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.
Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.
I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.
I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ. And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed. For as yet they didn’t know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first also went in, and he saw and believed— for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead.
