Judgment (2/2)

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! How much better to get wisdom than gold, and good judgment than silver!
For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. Then I will let you stay in this land that I gave to your ancestors to keep forever.
Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.Get wisdom; develop good judgment. Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.
Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.
A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. But most of all, my brothers and sisters, never take an oath, by heaven or earth or anything else. Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.
And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.“They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child.”

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed,
because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning:
